  • Unfortunately, Mark Eitzel had to cancel his performance in Dudelange. He strained his leg muscle badly and the long journey via train (with 4 changes) from Utrecht and back to Antwerp would have been too exhausting and would have jeopardized the rest of the tour

    From Mark

I really hate to cancel the show in at opderschmelz in Dudelange.  I always feel honored to perform in this beautiful venue but I am having crazy mobility issues with my legs and it is very painful to walk. I have lost the person who is driving me around to these shows and will find it impossible for me to get there by train. I am so sorry and hope that on my next tour I will be able to perform in Dudelange.

    Mark Eitzel

We’re wishing him all the best and are already looking forward to welcoming him back asap.

Tickets already bought will be refunded.

Mark Eitzel will be touring Europe for the first time in eight years this coming April. In addition to playing his older classics from American Music Club, Mark will be playing songs from previous solo albums and a new vinyl EP.

Mark Eitzel has released over 17 albums with American Music Club and as a solo artist. The Guardian has called him America’s greatest living lyricist, and Rolling Stone gave him their Songwriter of the Year award in 1992.

Originally formed in 1983, American Music Club released seven classic albums before breaking up in 1995. The band reunited in 2004 for two full-lengths, Love Songs for Patriots and The Golden Age. Mark Eitzel then released Don’t Be A Stranger in 2012 on décor/Merge which was followed by his strongest solo album since the 90s with Hey Mr Ferryman in 2017.

Mark has spent much of the last seven years composing music for playwright, Simon Stephens, as well as working on the American Music Club reissues which are slated for 2024 release.
