A natural extension of "Echoes of Henry Cow", "Andromaque Suite" is neither incidental music nor a set of sound portraits.
"Andromaque Suite" is organized around original compositions expressing two apexes of human nature: passionate love and violence transcended by the alexandrines of Racine's tragedy. Darkness, jealousy, murder and blackmail versus sublime fidelity...
But, without excluding a certain intrinsically musical dramaturgy, this concert will not be a linear evocation of the tragedy's argument. It will appeal to the imagination of each listener/spectator, who will be able to construct a personal dream narrative, an original and ephemeral scenario that will exist only for the duration of the concert.
