E.T. - a small alien who suddenly finds himself three million light years away from his home planet. Accidentally left behind, he is discovered by the 10-year-old boy Elliott, who immediately takes him into his heart and offers him his help. E.T. quickly settles into Elliott's family, where he is kept hidden, but suffers from terrible homesickness. He tries to contact his relatives on his home planet so that he can fly back home. But at the same time, the authorities learn of the presence of this little space visitor and do everything they can to find him. Only Elliott and his siblings Gertie and Michael can still help him and prove their extraordinary friendship...
