It was as part of a quartet that Wilfried Touati decided to embark on a career as a composer in 2018. Driven by a desire to promote his musical aesthetic, but also the accordion, an instrument that is still relatively unknown, particularly in jazz, he surrounded himself with excellent musicians and friends who
accompanied him on this beautiful rhythmic and melodic journey. ‘Voyage’ is the name of his first composition, as well as his first album, which was released on 5 November 2021 on the Jazz Family label. With an aesthetic influenced by Latin and world music, and a touch of free jazz, his melodies are sure to leave a lasting impression.
