In recent years jazz has become a defining phenomenon in our country. Luxembourg's music and its musicians have gained a significant international status which is now being recognised worldwide. Their skills and creativity have propelled them far beyond national borders. Since opening in December 2007, the CCRD opderschmelz has made major contributions in its support and promotion of Luxembourg jazz musicians and their national and international projects by giving them regular opportunities to perform on the main stage, by hosting them as part of artist residencies, commissioning new projects and facilitating the release of their new albums. On the occasion of this 15th anniversary, the cream of Luxembourg's jazz community, all in residence at opderschmelz are now invited to perform in tribute to CCRD opderschmelz and to their own well-earned success. 15 bands will share their passion for music with the public, and 15 new musical creations will be a testimony to their musical talent.
