In 1936, the archaeologist Dr Henry "Indiana" Jones (Harrison Ford) is commissioned by the American secret service to search for the legendary Ark of the Covenant. According to confidential information, the Nazis are also looking for the Ark of the Covenant in order to use its supernatural powers to create an army of super soldiers. Dr Jones is tasked with preventing this from happening and getting the Ark of the Covenant to safety before the Nazis reach it.
