Après ses études aux départements de jazz du C.N.R. de Strasbourg et du C.N.S.M.D. de Paris, le saxophoniste luxembourgeois Roby Glod multiplie les collaborations au niveau international avec e.a. Kent Carter, Michel Pilz, Herb Robertson, Archie Shepp et Louis Sclavis. Avant de créer son propre trio et son groupe de jazz électrique « Alternating Current », la pianiste américaine Roberta Piket a joué avec e.a. Michael Formanek, Lionel Hampton, Benny Golson. Klaus Kugel est le batteur le plus connu et engagé de la scène du jazz d’avant-garde en Europe. Il a joué e.a. avec Herb Robertson, Karl Berger et Charlie Mariano. Klaus Kugel is one of the most inventive and adventurous German drummers. He attracted attention worldwide through projects with Petras Vysniauskas, Kenny Wheeler, Bobo Stenson, Arkady Shylkloper a.o. Over the past 20 years, he gave numerous concerts and appeared at festivals all over the world. Roberta Piket, a “very gifted jazz musician” (allmusic.com), studied with Richie Beirach and is respected for both her inventive straight-ahead jazz playing as well as her work in creative improvised music. Roberta’s CDs frequently make the “best of” lists of the major jazz magazines. The bassist Mark Tokar is a key person in the Ukrainian jazz scene. He plays frequently with Roberta Piket, Klaus Kugel and Arkadij Shylkloper.
